If you’ve watched city council meetings before, the quality of the video has degraded considerably over the past few years. To that end, we bid out new cameras and audio visual equipment for Council chambers earlier and the installation of the new equipment started on Monday this week.
For the meeting tonight, November 15, 2016, Council cameras are deactivated and the microphones will not be working. The installation is expected to take two to three weeks, so we anticipate that this will be the only meeting disrupted by the new equipment installation.
Hopefully you’ll have a much improved viewing experience by the time the December 6, 2016, city council meeting comes to YouTube.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience, but it’s a once every 15-20 year process to upgrade equipment. This is our time.
