We have great concerts all summer downtown between the Broad Street Bash and the Takin’ it to the Streets concerts on Friday and Saturday nights. I try to get each week’s offerings in my Monday morning post so that everyone knows who is coming.
One of the advantages of having my own blog is I get to talk about whatever I want. In this post, I want to make a shameless plug for a good friend’s band.
On Friday, September 2nd, Takin’ it to the Streets will offer Gee Your Band Smells Terrific. The lead guitarist is a good friend of mine who grew up with my wife. The band plays everything 1970’s from all musical genres including arena rock, one-hit wonders, funk/boogie, classic rock, sugar/candy, soft rock, early new wave and more. They usually play about a three hour show hitting everything from the Archies to Grease, to Aerosmith, Boston, Disco, and more.
If you like 1970’s music, there isn’t a better place to sit back and enjoy a great night of 70’s music in Southwest Ohio. They are simply great musicians.
