This Week in Middletown (July 11-17)

The summer fun continues in Middletown.  If you are looking for something to do to get out of the house and be active in your community next week, take a look at these options!

Next Friday, July 15th has multiple events.

Movies in the Park will be shown at Douglass Park this week.  The night’s movie will be Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day with New Life Community Church of Middletown providing refreshments.

The Takin’ it to the Streets concert series will feature On Air at 8 p.m. downtown next to Canal House.

Midnight Basketball Youth Co-Ed League 9:00pm – 12:00am

Join the Boys and Girls Club of Dayton for night-time basketball! The July + August league will be at the downtown YMCA on Main Street.

This event will have character-building exercises, skills, clinics, and 5-5 basketball for all teens aged 13-18.  For information contact Destini Burns at destini.williams031987@gmail.com.

The Middletown Performing Arts Center is putting on “Stone Soup” at 7:00 p.m.and you’re invited!The actors in this performance are grades K-2.  All tickets for this event are $8.

“When a group of weary travelers creates a meal from some unexpected ingredients, we learn that ‘the greatest gift is to share’ in this character-building musical.”

Sow and Sew Up the City RunJoin Dedicated Motivated from 5:00pm – 10:00pm in their 5-mile run through Middletown – all aimed at advertising small local businesses in an effort to bring the community together, and to help students in need in the Middletown City School District. For additional information contact Steven Hartman at steven.h@dedicatedmotivated.com or by phone at 513-422-4250.  The event will be held at 2835 Cin-Day Road, Middletown Ohio.
